Cody Mullins, DVM

Cody Mullins was born in McHenry in 1995, and he developed a love for animals during his childhood,

where he grew up surrounded by various creatures, especially his Staffordshire terriers that were showcased in local AKC dog shows.

After graduating from McHenry High School, Cody earned a Bachelor of Science with a Minor in Environmental Studies at the University of Central Florida. Following a year as a veterinary technician, he completed his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

As a veterinarian, Cody enjoys educating clients about preventive medicine and dentistry. His passion lies in surgery and internal medicine, and he is an active member of professional associations, including the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Outside of work, Cody shares his life with his family, including his wife, who is an Occupational Therapist and photographer. They love to travel, hike, rock climb, and scuba dive. Their household is filled with a wide range of pets including their Staffordshire Terriers named Bluto and Yogi, Red Eared Slider Turtles named Sneaky and Kermit, and a Bearded Dragon named Ethana.

Cody's personal interests include exploring national parks, rock climbing, scuba diving, and his hobby of LEGO building. He is also a sports enthusiast, particularly passionate about baseball and has a personal goal to visit all 30 major league baseball stadiums.

Celebrating his one-year milestone in the profession, Dr. Cody Mullins remains dedicated to advocating for animal welfare, integrating his love for science, compassion, and adventure into both his veterinary practice and personal life.
