Heather Williams, DVM

Dr. Heather Williams grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She originally came to the Midwest to attend Grinnell College for her BA, followed by the UW

Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She then relocated to Illinois to be closer to family. Dr. Williams joined our practice in 2017.

Veterinary medicine was an early aspiration for Dr. Williams. It perfectly connects her love of animals, science, and medicine. Dr. Williams finds her job to be both challenging and rewarding, especially when it comes to problem solving difficult medical cases. She is particularly interested in internal medicine, preventative care, and helping geriatric cats and dogs maintain a comfortable quality of life. An active member of the AVMA, Dr. Williams brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice.

Dr. Williams lives in Naperville with her husband and three children. Her eldest son is currently attending Elmhurst University, while her daughter is in high school and enjoys dancing. Her youngest son is also in high school and is actively involved in playing hockey.

At home Dr. Williams also has a few furry family members. She has two Lab-mixes, Joey and Fenway, who were adopted from a local shelter. Joey loves to lounge on the couch with his humans, while Fenway is a social butterfly and unabashed toy hoarder. Dr. Williams also has three cats – Mr. Kitty Biscuits, Elly, and Leo – with Mr. Kitty Biscuits being the most attention-seeking of the group. He loves eating foam and rubber at the small price of 10 surgeries over his lifetime and the loss of a few inches of small intestine.

In the summers, Dr. Williams loves making an annual trip to New England with her family where they hike in the White Mountains and visit the beaches near where she grew up. While at home, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and doing puzzles.
