Caroline Washington, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Caroline Washington graduated veterinary school from the University of Illinois in 2012. She spent 4 years in general practice before joining Barrington Animal Dental in 2016. Dentistry has always been an area of interest in veterinary school and in private practice, so when a dental residency opportunity presented itself, Dr. Washington was eager to take on the challenge. In 2021, Dr. Washington passed her board certification gaining her the title of Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC®). Dr. Washington enjoys teaching dentistry and has recently lectured at the Veterinary Dental Forum. She is also the recipient of the Robert Wiggs Outstanding Candidate Award given to an outstanding veterinarian on successful completion of an approved veterinary dental training program.
One of her favorite cases throughout her veterinary career was performing a canine tooth extraction on a lion during her time in veterinary school—an unforgettable experience as the tooth was nearly as big as her hand!

Outside of work, Dr. Washington loves spending time with her husband and two kids, as well as her rescued pets: two Pitbulls, Blue and Maya, and a cat named Bear. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, and enjoying family movie nights. Her dedication and expertise continue to play a vital role in the excellence of Barrington Animal Dental within Animal Care Center.
